The usual reasons why someone hates themselves include early life berating by parental units, unhappy family members projecting their own unhappiness issues on "the new kid on the block" (the new baby) , possibly even ancestral unhappiness among expired members of the family of the same sex, or parental disappointment in the gender of the victim offspring (yourself). All of these reasons have absolutely NOTHING to do with you, and never have! They are other folks' problems, but you have embodied the negativity in an effort to cope with such unreasonable dissatisfaction. "Since none of it can be the fault of those you love, it must follow that it must be due to some shortcoming within yourself".....TOTALLY NOT TRUE. You can learn to distinguish your issues from those issues of someone else, but you need to forcefully make yourself see the truth of who you really are and who you really are not. You can trust my advice on this.....I do not give advice about which I am not totally familiar. People completely underestimate their own incredible value in the grand scheme of things and irresponsibly trust the opinions of others, even of those we love, above our own inner knowing.

Because you feel trapped?
No one but you can know the answer to this question. But, a good councilor can help you uncover the hows and whys, then you can take steps to change your life.
That will require you to learn a whole new way of doing *everything*, and is VERY difficult.
"The definition of insanity is doing things the same way you always have, and expecting different results."

this is because you seem to be lacking confidence in your self but don't think think you can.t do anything about it because you can try taking some self awareness classes and then you will feel better about yourself because they help to get to the bottom of your problem
