Now I'm talking about if someone would trade up for him also. And what would they trade to get him?

Yes Calvin Johnson will go #1 even if the Raiders pick him. The Raiders could use him Randy Moss hasn't produced like he should of and Porter just is never going to get out of that #2 reciever slot. They might just be waiting for Miami to release Culpepper so they can get Culpepper and Moss back together.
But if anyone trades up for him I expect it to be Tampa Bay and they would give the Raiders their first, second, third and possibly the rights to Jake Plummer although he announced his retirement he might come out for another west coast team to show up Shanahan when he could. Plus then Russell or Quinn would still be available at the #4 spot so they aren't losing out on a QB with their number one pick if they trade to Tampa.

I mean, Oakland and Detroit passed on their QB's of the future last year in Leinert and Cutler. So, where do they end up, #1 and #2 in the draft. Hmmmm, Matt Millen NFL genius.....NOT!!! Al Davis? Well, he has been drafting ok the last couple years....just maybe the wrongs areas to show results on the field. So, what does Big Al do? I'm a Packer fan and there is WAY WAY WAY too much chatter STILL going on about this Randy Moss trade. And where there is smoke there is fire. I think a deal is in the making yet. Here's what "might" be an option. Draft Calvin Johnson at #1. Trade Moss and a second round pick for Aaron Rodgers. Ted Thompson (GM, Packers) is called tight Ted for a reason. Al wants a third I think for Moss or release him after the draft to save cap space. I don't think Rodgers is worth more than a second. So basically Oakland gives away Moss to get the best overall player in the draft and a "somewhat" NFL ready QB to throw to him. Packers get to keep their #16 (RB, Marshawn Lynch) in the first round, an aging but still quality WR, a Safety and a Tight End with 2 picks in the second round.

and Matt Millen and Tampa Bay can cry the rest of the day since they can't do their ____ trade for CJ...,......HA HA HA!!!!!!!!

Nope. Calvin Johnson will not go first. Although he is the best wide reciever in this years wide reciever class the Raider will not go with a WR for their first pick. They are going with a QB. There are high chances that they will choose JaMarcuss Russell, but you never know for sure Brady Quinn just might might sneak it in, but the likleyhood of this is very slim. JaMarcuss Russell will probably go 1. Calvin Johsnon is an amazing top notch wide reciever runs a great forty and has amazing hands. Teams this draft are more interested ina a Ja'marcus russell or a brady quinn. This will be a great draft and the wide reciever class is tremendous. Brady Quinn will not outplay Jamarcuss, Altough Johson does have a chance it all depends on what each teem needs. Because the Raiders have the #1 pick their team needs a quarterback, and everyteam wants a JaMarcuss Russell.

No, Calvin Johnson will not go #1 overall because the Raiders need a Quarterback really bad so they will probably take JaMarcus Russell. Detroit would have to be crazy to draft another wide receiver. I don't get why they are taking a QB if they have Jon Kintna but they have stupid Millen as a head coach so the Lions are probably taking Brady Quinn. Browns do not want him I don't think. And the Buccaneers are probably going to draft him 4th overall and let Galloway mentor him.

Calvin Johnson is the number 1 guy in the draft but The Raiders needs are to get a quarterback so they need JaMarcus Russell from LSU.
The Raiders already have Randy Moss and Jerry Porter so they don't need a WR at number 1.

Well, should Calvin Johnson go first based on talent? Yes. Should Calvin Johnson go first based on who currently has the first overall pick? No. Does this mean that the team with the current first pick is smart enough to know they cant use him on their roster? No. The Oakland Raiders are not going to get rid of their overall pick unless they can get either the 2nd or 3rd overall pick. They dont want to miss the opportunity to get a good QB to build their team around, (not that Quinn or Russell is a good QB) but to answer your question Johnson will not go first. I believe he is just about the only person i can gurantee going in the top 5. He is the only one that could help out every team (along with maybe Joe Thomas)

I think Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech, is one of the best receivers I've EVER seen in college football (other than Larry Fitzgerald)...He was a Man playing with little boys on the Field. He has the total package. Johnson has a rare combination of size (6-4, 235), speed (4.37), strength, leaping ability (47.5" vertical), body control, and hand-eye coordination. He plays like he's 6-7!.....West Virginia had NO answer for him in the Bowl Game.

Mel Kiper had him rated #1 on his Draft Board as soon as he decided to go pro...Most receivers in the past in their rookie year don't make an impact, but I think that CJ is an exception. Any team who passes him up in the Draft is foolish and will regret their decision!

If the Raiders pass on him and draft John Elway Junior ( I mean DeMarcus Russell......That Corpse Al Davis said that he reminded him of Elway and that's why I got confused), I will be Laughing My *** Off on Saturday.....

its a strong possibility as the raiders are looking to trade for a qb. there are still talks of trade with the packers where both teams will swap 2nd round picks next weekend and moss to gb and aaron rodgers (qb) to oakland. otherwise, the raiders are looking to trade for josh mccown from miami.

if those trade talks fail, they will most likely take jamarcus russel or hope and wait for a release of dante culpepper from miami.

The Raiders won't take him, and I think it would take a ton to get them to trade out of the #1 spot when they've got their eyes on Russell.

calvin johnson will not go number 1 because the raiders, although they love him, know that they need a quarterback not a wide reciever.
