A DVD player on a television can not read a CD however any DVD player on a computer, can read a CD!

yes it can as the laser reader of a dvd drive has high power as dvds have 2 layers so it can read cds also which have only one layer

Should be able to. I believe most are dual-read drives which can read DVD or CD data. As long as it's fairly new it should be able to.

if it is designed to reaad them, then yes, look at it's specs. if it is a dvd drive that you have, but don't have paper work for, then try it, see what happens
