I am assuming that you have already been looking in the standard Classified adds.. So I will not go over the obvious.

Depending on your skill set, what you have done before, you can try the standard retail job route. With 6 kids, depending on age and if any of them are old enough to watch over the others, or if you have family or friends close to you, I can imagine that it will be difficult to have the time to work any serious hours.

You can try to do work from home jobs.. But, many of them are scams. If you find something that is interesting to you, and it sounds too good to be true.. Very likely it is not true :). So avoid it. You can also do a search on Yahoo or Google for work at home jobs or home jobs (however you want to search for it).

The work at home jobs would allow you to stay home and watch over your Kids, and be there should they need your support.

Another thing to consider, is if you have had any employment at all, you could try to see if you can get unemployment from Ohio.

You should check with your State as well, or even Social Security to see if you are able to get any support there. The following link takes you to a benefit screening site. It will tell you want you need to know and if you have any chance of getting any assistance.

Unfortunately, I am not able to help more without getting more information on what you can do, and what work you have done.

One thing that I have used in my time here on Earth, I placed an add looking for work in the Classifieds, stating what I can do etc. Also, I printed out a Job Wanted Sheet and placed the paper in all the grocery stores around where I lived. I received many replies from the ad and the Job Wanted Poster..

I really do wish you luck, and hope that you find a way to make it through this tough time.

One other note.. I don't know the reason you are looking for a job, but.. If you man or Men are not supporting you and your children.. TAKE THEM TO COURT. Report them to Social Services etc.. You should never be alone in supporting a large family like the one that you have..

Once again Good Luck. God Bless you!

not alot of jobs that involve animals other than volunteer work and pet shops....I have a B.S. in biology with a minor in zoology and i can't find a job at a zoo or an aquarium ( they want you to have a teachers license too....b/c of all the kids on field trips ). But you can still go to school. $10k right off the gate is yours through the pell grant program. Not to mention that thousands of dollars are out there in scholarship money. You can even get a scholarship for being left handed. That isn’t a nickel in the bucket if you go to a university, but if you go to a comm. college you can get an associates in biology without having to pay anything out of pocket. Avg comm. College is 1-3K per semester……at a university it is about 12K. Financial aid is a blessing. You can pretty much get a 2 yr degree for free if your willing to work for it. If you want to work with animals you will need an education, and if you have the drive to get it the means are there…..you just have to be a go getter and do what needs to be done.

Do you have any local Employment assistance offices? They should be able to tell you what your options are. They might even help you get training and child care. Keep in touch. I'll pray for you, God is with you my dear.

Get your GED. Then realize that there are no easy job solutions and no easy answers to the need you have. Get a regular job, don't overspend, seek whatever assistance is available, and get financially healthy. Please, please. Good luck.
