Strange? No. He should have been with his dad, and his wingnut anti-castro relations wanted to keep him in th US. Reno decided to send him home.

No, it is not strange for a 6 year old child to want to live with his father rather than with strangers in a strange land. His extraction from the distant relative he did not know was the safest way to get him back wher he belonged, to his father. The poor child had already lost his mother. Wasn't that enough for you?

The por lad turned into a puppet for the dictator Castro.

But you like Castro, don't you?

Amy Goodman tells you that you should love Castro...and Chavez...and Che.

But your bizarre rant misses the point...families should be more sovereign than governments.

Yes. How like liberals, to endorse immigrants, except for immigrants running away from communism (which the liberals like to call paradise.)

Yep - spelled Elian. Not strange at all; it's what he knew. Cuba was home!

Why are people rationalizing the armed abduction of a refugee?

If this was something Bush had done, nobody would ever say those things.

I think you mean Alien Gonzales. I saw him recently doing some sort of pro-Castro propaganda. He was taken away by Janet Reno against his will to live in a communist state, like his father had a say in the matter.

It's Elian Gonzales.
He went to his dad in Cuba because the boy's mother was threatened if she did not relinquish guardianship.
