I cannot STAND Liberals! What's the solution?

Question

I really cannot tolerate liberals. What is the solution to this problem? They irriate me to no end because they make NO SENSE! They are idealist, tree hugging, hippies with no sense of reality. They are detrimental to our nation. What can be done to convert them to the conservative side?

Getting an education is not a valid solution. I already have my masters degree in Neuroimmunology and am in dental school.

In order to convert liberals to the conservative side, you must make your side look appealing to them.

For instance, you need to be consistent. You see, liberal find some of your beliefs rather contradictory.

For example, most conservatives are pro-life and indeed many espouse the sanctity of life. There's nothing wrong with that. But liberals take issue when you're pro-life only some of the time, such as when you support capital punishment, or false wars. They also aren't to keen on the whole torture thing either. In short, if you respect the sanctity of life then it should be for all life in general, not some narrowly defined definition of life.

Another thing that would make liberals think about joining your side would be a more "open" policy. Liberals get very touchy about privacy, and they don't really like all the things that go on behind close doors. They also don't like the government snooping on them without good reason e.g. a warrant.

Fiscal responsibility would also make more of them find your side more appealing. You want to fight a war, ok. But when you want to fight a war AND cut taxes, that's just sets off the warning bells. Maybe a tax cut will help the economy, maybe it won't. Either way, the country will still go into massive debt. Liberals have a tendancy to be for fiscally minded.

Another thing that you could do to attract liberals is tone down the whole legislating morality thing. You see, liberals don't really care what people do as long as it doesn't harm anyone. So things like gay marriage or gay couples don't really bother them.

This is getting long, so the last thing that would definately get more liberals in your camp would be to get rid of the whole "with-us-or-against-us"/"Ends justify the means" bit. It may sound a little weird, but liberals don't see things as black or white. They also don't think that a "good" outcome is justification for taking a questionable road to that outcome. While some would question the mentality of finding a good path to a good solution, liberals believe that taking the time to accurately weigh the pros and cons of a particular solution reduces problems for the long term.

These would be a good start to getting the liberals over to the conservative side.

Liberals balance conservatives. Having either group in total control is bad for our country. Think of the politics of America as a giant pendulum.. when things swing too much in one direction, it will soon swing back in the other.

Liberals actually have many things you can learn from them, and liberals have many things they can learn from conservatives as well.

It's all about perspective; try to search for understanding and through their eyes and you will at least see why they feel the way they do.

Good grief; how old are you ? Are you just determined not to learn to use your mind and think critically? I wish I had a dollar for every rant I encounter that states " I can't stand _____s ! _____s are ______, _______ and _____.

Have you any idea how badly this posting makes you sound? This is a one dimensional airing of ideological prejudice. It does not have to be all black and white you know.

Education usually leads a person from the dementia called "liberalism". Not the education found in public schools today but an education from reality. A great man once said, when I was young I was a liberal, then I grew up, learned a few things and became a conservative. Most liberals will never see the folly of that political ideology, the only thing you can do, continue to press reality in their faces, they might just wake up.
