I love this song and I'm able to translate it into my language, and I think I understand it somehow. But there are some parts I don't really understand. I want to know what the song originally is about? Could anyone explain?

Then I think I might not have understood it... I thought the break-up is one part of it, but the lines "carve your name into my arm, instead of stressed I lie here charmed" I link with abandon, with devotion, and "another love I would abuse, no circumstances could excuse" I understand the way he would NOT abuse the love he's with at that moment... am I so totally wrong??
(And could you explain the expression "sucker love"?? Is this the love of someone who shows too much devotion?)

I would agree with most of your interpretation although Placebo's Brian Molko appears to have made the lyrics intentionally ambiguous. Some people believe that the song is about drugs.
