Although Morozov is playing in Russia, and has found his offensive abilities have greatly developed there, I heard a rumor that he is planning to return to the NHL next season. His current contract is up after this season and it was said that he wanted to return even if it was for less money then he is currently making. However, as a Pens fan as well I doubt that he will be playing for Pittsburgh. He would be an unrestricted free agent and the Pens would be forced to pay up for a player that disappointed them in the past. Still I know he had the ability all along. If he had played the Devils every game he would have had 60 goals a year. I would love to see him on the second line with Malkin, but I don't see it happening. Look for him to sign a big contract this summer and return to North America with a lot of expectations once again.

Last I heard he was playing for a Russian league [not sure which one - may have been the same league as Malkin's former league - Mettalursk (sp?)]. He went back to his homeland during the lockout season and expressed that he was much more comfortable there. He was also apparently much more successful there (as far as points go).

He's been back home in Russia playing for Kazan AK-Bars of the Superleague for the past 3 years. He ran away with the scoring title this season with 34G 49A 83P in 53 games.

He's been playing for Kazan over in Russia since the lockout. He wasn't spectacular, but was one of the best we had after Jagr, Lemieux, and the were gone.

He's in the Russian league. No one is willing to pay him enough to come back. He really wasn't that great.
