I live in cali now. I like the tree atmosphere. I'm looking for a place where property where you get more bang for your buck.

Ya know, I live in Southern Cali, and I am working towards retiring ASAP and moving to Oregon. There you have the best of both worlds, the forest and the beach and it's not so crowded in most areas!

If you like trees, Humboldt County in northern California is reasonably priced and incredibly beautiful with all the redwoods, the coast, and mountains. It is a bit remote, although there is an airport in Arcata, near Eureka. It's a 7 hour drive from San Francisco up the 101.

I'd say look in Arizona,everywhere else is expensive.
