The point is for the oil companies to see just how much buying power we have. Right now, to them we are like lemmings being led wherever they want us to go. Five dollars a gallon? Okay! NP need it so i'll pay it. Gimme a break-- and u get a clue! I drive a hybrid BTW :)

The problem is that you would never get everyone to go along with that idea. There would always be the people who have lots of money and don't care, people who didn't get paid in time to get gas the day before, people who just don't care one way or another, and those who actually have a vested interest in the entire nasty business of big business. I wish it would work. Sadly, it won't. Too many variables.

All of us need gasoline. And we need a lot of it -- between cars, public transportation, construction equipment, lawn and garden tools. You even need it for your hybrid. Even if you get 60 mpg, you still are burning gasoline. There is just no way nobody is going to buy any gas for a whole day. Basically everything would grind to a halt. No work, no commerce, no construction, no public transportation, not even any fire, police or ambulance services. It ain't gonna happen.

The point is people will buy gas every day so long as they need it, even at $5 a gallon or more, until the last drop of gasoline is pumped, or we FINALLY use alternative energy.

who cares if you don't buy gas one day. you will either buy it the day before or the day after. their profits will just be higher those two days.
