They claim there was no real political agenda and that people would draw their own conclusions. I tend to believe that the chicks were expressing their rights as free Americans to free speech. Media is such a hound that it created something out of nothing, really. If you had said it, it would have made no difference, except within your circle of friends. But since they are in a high-profile position it became a Media event.

I'm pretty sur it was..now that I think about it...The dixie chicks sing it and the next line is I'm not ready to back down. I would put money on that.

It kinda was. Mostly it was about the reaction they recieved with Nat's political statement about Bush.
