I think that some people here might be confused because in the states red is the colour of GOP states....but if you look at the question (mostly the U in colour) I think this question was asked by a Canadain where blue is the colour traditionally associated with the Conservitive party of Canada...

The easiest way to say that couldn't possibly be so is that blue isn't conservative everywhere. For instance, in the US we use red for republicans, who are generally conservatives, and blue for democrats, who are generally liberal.
