I had unprotected intercourse with my guy twice and once the next night .. then took the morning after pill approximately 72 hours after the first unprotected sex. What are my chances of being pregnant?

Should I have taken the pill right after I had sexual intercourse the first time and then take another after the next or is that unhealthy for women to take it three days in a row?

It's 89% effective within 72 hours of a single sex act. The reason for the 11% uncertainty? Because if you become pregnant becfore you take plan B, it does nothing. If egg meets sperm and they implant in your uterus, you're pregnant, and the pill won't change that. Often, that DOES happen before the 72 hour mark. And no, you shouldn't take Plan B after every time you have sex...those are seriously strong hormones, and even the makers, advertisers, and retailers of the morning after pill will tell you it is NOT to be used as a regular form of birth control daily, weekly, or even monthly, just in emergency "oops" situations. Get on birth control and you won't have to worry so much. Birth control is 99% effective...whereas Plan B is 89%. You do the math. 10 more women in every 100 a year have a baby using plan b than the pill.

If it is taken within 3 days (72 hours) after unprotected sex, it will decrease the chance that you will get pregnant by up to 89%. That means 7 out of every 8 women who would have gotten pregnant will not get pregnant. And Plan B works even better if you take it within the first 24 hours after unprotected sex.

It's also not dangerous to take it for a few days. It's not suppose to be used like regular birth control, but if you take it a few days in a row you should be fine.

I have taken Plan B four different times in the last six years. The most recent time was actually a few days ago. I took Plan B for two days in a row (4 tablets) and I'm perfectly fine.

at first taking plan B 3 days in a row isn't best for you. Plan B isn't meant for use as a beginning administration technique - basically for emergencies. 2nd - the earlier you're taking Plan B after unprotected intercourse the greater beneficial - yet seventy two hours continues to be ok (something longer than that isn't artwork as properly). third - you ought to stop having unprotected intercourse, and use condoms or get on beginning administration please. Taking plan B consistently isn't best for you. bypass on your close by planned Parenthood for any of your desires and questions its all exclusive and you will possibly be able to get beginning administration there without your mothers and fathers understanding if this is a controversy.

I don't know the answer to those questions, but why aren't you on some other kind of birth control. That's not what the morning after pill is for.

Its more effective the sooner you take it. You really dont want to take it three days in a row, it really screws with your body hunny. Good luck

You can still get pregnant, learn to use condoms everytime!!!

Hopefully it will work, but the later you take it the least likely it may work. CHeck out http://www.go2planb.com/ForConsumers/Index.aspx
