i recently changed my login mac password. by recently i mean today. when i tried to login the first time it did let me login when i tried to change my password again it wouldn't let me saying that my password was incorrect. i have tried several times even triple checking myself just in case i misspelled something but it still won't let me

Call Apple. I think you are DOA. They will tell you to install OS X from scratch.
TIP: Never run OS X as an Administrator. Create a separate user account for daily use.
