The meaning of life from a non-religious viewpoint, is enjoyment. If you live your whole life and die, without having enjoyed it, then what was the point? You should enjoy every moment you have. Whatever that may mean for you personally.
Don't spend it slaving away at a job or existence you hate at least.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Well we have so many different perspectives to look through. However I suppose for me its learning from my mistakes ... if there is regret, the mistake has not been learned from. Making each and every moment count. Remember memories are made any time you want to make them. Go on a memory making trip. Take photos to help the mind remember when its to fable to on its own. The mind and the body will give out sooner of later, but the more you move and the better you take care of the skin your in and all that's inside, the longer and happier you will live. I just try to work hard play harder and laugh a lot. A smile will spread like butter but a laugh will spread like jelly! Flavor is key, make it tasty whatever you do. Enjoy your own life, worry not of what others think, only what they feel!

The meaning of life is both profound and simple.
It answers the order of creation, the motive of existence and the mystery of the universe to ourselves.
The meaning of life is:
Awareness Loves Life (A-L-L)
See: http://ucadia.org/uca/u23/230600.htm
Unfortunately, because we are life, we see the statement as
Life Loves Awareness (L-L-A).
But if you were able to comprehend just one thought of the universe from its perspective, then you'd see that the greatest expression of existence is life- that the key to life is existence.
That living is more important than knowing everything.
For example, there is a wonderful quote from buddhism-
before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water;
after enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.
Sadly, we sometimes are mistaken in believing that if we knew everything, our lives would be better. I can assure you that is not the case. Living is what counts.
All the very best.

just sit back relax and make sure your watching and talking and doing things. thats life. just go with the flow. no one actually knows what life is until they have seen it to the very last day... which is when they die. so they cant exactly tell anyone what life is. so you just have to go with everyday and before you die, think about what has gone through you in life, only then you will know the meaning of life.

Each person finds their individual "meaning" to life.
For some, it may involve marriage and family.
For another, it might be teaching an academic subject or tutoring a young artist or musician.
For another, it might be complete, total hedonism.
For another, it might be the life of a slacker; taking the path of least resistance wherever possible.

obviously you have an idea yourself, or you would not be curious as to what others thought...it's a natural human instinct to want to be better than each other. but what you must realize is life should really be about just that...celebrating the living...and living to be alive to the world and it's offerings. sometimes it's better to recognize that a change within couldn't hurt if only to open your eyes a bit.....
