nope, that would be a waste of time. iq tests only tell you a persons aptitude for learning and reasoning, not what they know. if someone has experience in a certain area, they are likely to know more regardless of how smart they are. in contrast, another person could have a very high iq but not be experienced in an area. thus, they could be considered ignorant but still have a high iq. i dont know why you would want to do this anyway, because in my experience "educated" people arent always smarter than "uneducated".

if this question was just a way to vent, i apologize for the "deep" thought. sometimes we need to go off about something.

EDIT: hey barney, great avatar.

Having a high IQ and being informed about your topic are totally different. IQ tests are still very controversial. There is no such thing as having an IQ(intelligience quotient). That is the error of reification, making an abstract concept seem concrete. The technocracy on the site shouldn't being making fun of the stupid people. We are here to inform our less-educated users making them a more informed person for the rest of their lives.

Our media and consumption driven culture is already too willing to categorize and separate its people.

If you are going to separate by IQ, why not separate by:

Age
Religion
Sanity
Racial Purity
Sexual preferences
Support for our insane attack and occupation of Iraq
... and so on ... and so on...

We need to think about how we can come together as one humanity and not triffle over our differences that feed our selfish and egocentric interests. We are all on this very small and vulnerable planet together, perhaps we need to learn about the benefits of cooperation as taught to us by game theory developed by John Forbes Nash.

He would fall into your high IQ category. Although he is insane, he has a beautiful mind.

Good question but I am afraid I would have to say No, then there would be a lot less ridiculous questions and answers to laugh at. What is Yahoo answers without those questions and answers to shed a little humour here and there not counting the jokes category of course.

I am sure you have had your fair share of laughs too.

I must admit I sometimes get fed up with stupid questions,
and moronic answers.
But isn't it the fools who are most in need of some intelligent advice ?.
So the answer has to be NO.
Even though at times I'll probably regret having said it.

Yeah! That would be good and once you passed the IQ test they would issue you a password to get into the intellectual rooms.
Then when you didn't feel like thinking too much, you could come and visit me in the less than intellect rooms!Lol
That would be cool though.

There are all kinds of IQ tests you can take online, but how legitimate are they. I know there are plenty of fools out there, but there are also educated people who are pretty dumb.

Sorry to tell you this but you used the possessive form of fool and folk instead of plural. Plus, you misspelled mandatory

Think about it. If they established a minimum IQ, there wouldn't be anything for us smart folks to make fun of. Then what?
