I am in your boat. I am going to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of my 25th birthday in June. I am not ready for that HUMP in the road. I can only hope I age as gracefully as my grandmother did. I think on the day that I celebrate my 5th anniversary of my 25th birthday I will go into a deep depression. I think the hardest part is knowing that for every year I age, my children are getting older and I am not ready for them to be grown and gone.

I'm 27 and am very happy about getting older. I don't look at age as a "death sentence" like some people do. I don't get that personally when people are depressed about turning a certain age or lie or deny their true age....I just don't get that. I'm perfectly happy being 27...I'll be 28 in Sept. The only thing that would depress me at all would be the fact that I'm single with no kids and getting older, I guess my biological clock is ticking, but other than that...I could care less that I'm nearing 30.

My self I freaked out about it when i was like 23 now i am standing there with my arms wide open and waiting on 30 like there is no tomorrow. I will be glad to leave all the bull$hit behind.
I have gotten a lot more respect since i have gotten older and i like the feeling of ppl trusting me with things that at the age of even 25 they would have been weary about.
So I feel gr8 about turning 30. I got 2 years to go.

I am 26 years old and I don't think about my age or what the future holds. Yes i do have goals and dreams but if I think about my age and where i have to be at a certain age then i think that is where the fear lies. You should also think about with age comes experience; experience for others to learn from accomplishments as well as mistakes. We only look as old as we feel. Age is nothing but a number and the only person holding you back is you. What is the difference between being 20, 25, 30 yes we are getting older but what i could do when i was 25 I can do at 30 or at 40. As long as my body and mind are willing to work with me then we can do anything regardless of our age. If you feel young you look young. I think the important thing is to live life to your fullest without being scared of being old you only get one chance to live life why worry about thinking i'm 30 i'm not married whatever our destiny holds for us will come at it's time regardless of our age. I do understand the fear but we must not live our lives pondering on things that we cannot change. All of us will age lets do it gracefully.

Im both frightened and excited. I dont really know exactly what im scared of. I guess its just the word "old" that scares me. I wanna be young and "cool" for a long time. On the other hand i get excited about it because i know my life will be a lot more stable by then. Also because nowadays 30, or hell even 40 isn't considered very old anymore.

I'm scared, but not as scared as I used to be. I'm 25, so I know I have lot's of time, but turning 30 scares me. I'm sure when it get's here, it won't be so bad. But it feels like life is over at 30, doesn't it?

It's a depressing thought for me, getting older. I try not to think about it and think about the present, what I can do for myself and others to be happy in the now.
