Lakeside is the best for me. I love anything to do with water. I also love the sea. Never a city. A countryside would do before a city. I have always wanted to live by a lake.
As a girl growing up, we spent every summer in northern Wisconsin living in rustic type cabins, with outdoor toilets, fishing in wooden boats, on a huge lake (Lake Mud Hen ) in Siren, Wisconsin.
Since then, it has always been a dream of mine to own a lakeside cabin or better yet, a lakeside home.
You sure brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks!

I would have to say a lake too. I would like to have a body of water for recreational use, but I wouldn't like an ocean because it could blow my house away in a hurricane. Big cities I couldn't do either, and I don't really care for the mountains. A lake would be perfect!

RURAL -- plenty of land around me .. where one can purchase by the acre. I'm finally an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (and also a Military Retiree), and have been stationed around the world ..
The one thing I just want now is PEACE and QUIET -- and NOT having Toxic People next door (or ... worse yet ... on the other side of a very thin wall). I do NOT want to have my home so close to another that one can shake hands with your neighbor while you are on the toilet, and I WANT land .. yes, LAND.
I WANT and LIKE to mow my yard. I LIKE to keep my Bushes trimmed, want to enjoy a treed back yard (which I have!), a rear patio with NO ONE who can see me when I want to sit down outside and enjoy nature .. and yes, I DO like to just have the space to put my car where I want to .. to have a workshop in my garage, and to be able to BUILD and enjoy life!
