There was but three networks of entertainment. Public TV also existed. It was all much more heavily censored. Rob and Lora Petrie's double beds were quite a step up from Leave it to Beaver where you never even seen Ward and June's bedroom. It was as if it never existed.

John Kenedy's and Lee Oswald's murders were televised live.

Color arrived.

Instant replay arrived.

Science Fiction took a big leap with Star Trek after a bunch of low budget series with horrible effects.

First televised war-Vietnam.

Live broadcast from the mood.
