I fell closest to the Native culture as African Americans will accept me, as they are fun and good people as a whole from my experience.

I just dont experience the crap they do in day to day life. So it is difficult for some to digest my relative blood.

Natives can be the same way as I am green eyed and only darker in the spring to summer months. And I am very accepted amongst many so there is no one experience for any race as you would already know.

I teach my daughter to allow her soul to enjoy all her heritage. And it will change and go back from time to time. It is all ok as long as one walks respectfully.

I cant really get close to the indian culture because.. well u can figure that out easily they're barely even here and if you want to read and educate yourself you have to do serious research the culture is not as alive as it used to be. everythng is getting list like the languages, culture, food, religion i dont know much about it. I need to take a trip to north carolina, oklahoma, arizona and california.

Oh brother, another American Indian/African American.

There are so many people with that racial mixture, it should have it's own category on the census.

I don't know because I am pure African American. I can't wait to hear the disclaimer that there is no "pure" African American.

Well...I'm gonna break the rules and answer anyway, as I'm personally as white as you get (I think I have some Spanish in me from about a thousand years ago or so...heh). But if I had two different sides of ancestry, I'd be very happy for the opportunity to be close to both. I'd probably shift back and forth occasionally, depending on how I felt, but overall, each side would get a great deal of attention. I love family histories and knowing where I come from.

Maybe you should consider yourself lucky being a unifying element. We all share 999 out of a thousand genes. We are 99% chimp, so how close are we to each other?

Which ever one you feel is closest, or both if equally close. It's silly trying to exclude one because of the other.
