Some are based on true stories, others are complete fiction. Movies can make almost anything happen with special effects, stunt people, etc.

Yes.
They ARE real Lil Pinnochio!
How do I know?
Because when I buy a dvd I can feel it in my hand.
When I download a movie off iTunes, I can SEE it!
When I go to the movie theatre, not only can I SEE and HEAR the sights and sounds being called a 'movie' but if I want to I can actually go up to the front and TOUCH the screen!
That's pretty frickin' real right there!
LOL!
;-)

Yeah.

They have them at movie theatres and certain stores like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video.

You can also get them through online venues like NetFlicks(sp?)

If you visit Los Angeles, California, you will find lots of real people from the business.

coming out of Hollywood, probably not.

sure, they may base a film on something real, but they always embellish it, to make it more interesting to the public.

if you want history, check the history channel.

if you want factual accounts of present day goings on, check your newspapers or the internet.

whatever you do, don't look to Hollywood for truth. what they are trying to do is get you to justify paying the expensive price of admission and refreshments.

while a movie BASED on truth can usually do that, a 100% true movie can't.

None are really real unless there history videos with real scenes that you can tell are real. Most are fake though some are based on true stories.

It depends on which genre you are talking about. Non-fiction, documentaries, and those based on true stories are real to some extent.

Fiction, science fiction, drama, action, comedy, and the like are mostly fabricated.
