For example I was at a university once when Prince Charles was rushed past surrounded by gaurds. Years later on the other side of the world I saw him getting out of a Bentleigh for a first night premier.

Drive a Taxi Cab in N.Y.C and it happens and you have conversations with many of them while you drive them to their destination. Salvador Dali wouldn't talk but he had his pet lobster with him. Dustin Hoffman is a regular down to Earth guy.

I met Glen Frey ( one of the Eagles ) once. He was standing at the urinal next to mine. We didn't shake hands. I drove Alex Van Halen around in Hawaii, I saw Steven Stills at a driving range, Ringo Starr at a meeting (goes by Richard), served Joe Walsh at a bar, met Arnold Palmer at a tournament when I was a kid, and Soupy Sales hit on my mother when she took me to see him at a supermarket parking lot in Victorville. We had lunch in the bowling alley next to the market. Have I left anyone out? Oh yeah, George Benson in Maui, Kareem Abdul Jabar in a bank. I asked Harrison Ford if I could take his picture while he was filming some movie ( I forget which) and I happened to be walking along Sunset Blvd. I had just gotten my first digital camera, but no, I don't usually walk around with a camera. Have I lived an exciting life or what! Just kidding. All of these encounters were by chance, except for Soupy.

Yes, I was on the same plane with the man who led the coup d' etat in Thailand last year. By the way his name is Gen. Thawip Poonsiri. He was on a flight from San Diego to Washington DC last Nov. Before this, I've met him Dec.1980 at his foster parents home for a christmas party (his foster parents happen to be family friends). He was a senior at the Philippine Military Academy (this is like the West Point of Asia).

Sidney Potier. I wasn't watching where I was going at LAX and literally ran into him. A few weeks later, I was in a car in Brentwood and he passed us in his vehicle. Several months later, I ran into him again at the airport.... he looked at me with a look that said, "DO I know you?" NO really... I wasn't stalking him!!! Just a random encounter. Living in LA, I run into the most celebrities at the airport or the beach or Disneyland. I've seen Gregory Hines at Venice, the entire Laker team at LAX, and there are always those celebrities that you say, "Hey...isn't that......" and you can't remember their name... grrrr....

Others in my past I've actually spoken to: Walt Disney (when I was 4), Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Jane Goodall, Richard Marcinko, Alexander Haig, Danny DiVito, Rhea Perlman (at the beach).... I run into ALOT of people here in LA....

If you want to meet people - go to book signings and lectures... many of them are free or offered for a very cheap price through a learning annex. If you arrive early, you'll usually run into them setting up... and get a chance to sit down and talk!!

Remember, celebrities are people too. The REAL celebrities are those who have made a difference in the lives of people... and they don't mind you telling them that your life might have been changed because of something they said, did, or wrote. Movie stars aren't the only celebrities.... try giving your mom and dad or a teacher the same reference you give celebrities... and find out how much they will shine.... trust me, THOSE are the true, unspoken celebrities of this world!!!

When I was little I ran into (not literally) some actor. I cant remember who though. I also met usher's bodyguard, and my friend was on the same airplane as Julie Andrews and got her autograph.

You couldnt really call me famous but some little girls asked for my autograph after a play i was in. I do some semi proffesianal acting which I get paid for.

No, I haven't, but my dad saw Jesse McCartney in an airport once yelling at some lady (girlfriend?) to quit bothering him. That was a few months ago though.

Yes, I bumped into the comedian and actor Tim Allen up in Michigan. He rents a condo up there in the summer and it is pretty close to the one we stay in. We ended up having dinner and occasionally end up going for a boat ride. He is a pretty normal down to earth, kind of guy. We still see him from time to time up there.
