Firstly, do it with extreme care, and make sure you have a static earth strap attached to your wrist.
Open the case, find the drive and then disconnect the power and data cable, unscrew the physical drive, and you have now removed the hard drive. Place it in or on an antistatic bag if you want to ensure it retains the data and not get corrupted.

Open the computer case, disconnect the data strip and power cord from the hard drive, remove the screws holding it in, and slide it out of the holder.

1. Disconnect the computer from the power
2. Open the computer case
3. Unplug data and power cables
4. Unscrew the harddrive
5. Pull the harddrive out. Make sure you are not toching any system boards, or gound yourself.

follow these steps:
1. unplug from the electrical outlet
2. open cpu case
3. identify the hard drive, hard disk you want to remove
4. unplug the IDE cable (the flat-like wire connection usually its gray colored wire) or the SATA cable (like a USB type cable usually a black wire)
5. unplug the power supply cable (usually has white color plug with yellow, red, black wires attached to it.
6. unscrew the hard drive from the case brackets
