People seem to be missing the point (no pun intended) of your question. There are situations that arise from time to time where there are three steps to a solution in which only two are necessary steps. Imagine three steps in a staircase. The average person will step on all three steps to go up, but there will always be a few that simply skip over the middle step. Conversely some people don't have the ability to climb steps at all. Life is the same way. Some people can understand something and skip steps that seem crucial to others, while others have to take each step in its order to find the solution.

I think a genius can very well go from a to c, while by passing b. Some people are more visual and need to pass through b to understand c. It is very possible to technically bypass b, because the brain already understands b, and can bypass b because the logically explanation of a is c.

You were told incorrect information. Many people are capable of skipping steps and we often do. You haven't noticed because they used the word genius and you ruled yourself out. The word 'genius' is an eraser and it intimidates you or convinces you it does not apply in your case. Don't let anyone make you trip over words like genius. Those are blockades.

That is a quantum leap. I can't do it either, but if you can, it should not be a bigger trick to go from D to Z.
It might be more of a Savant thing than a genius thing. You know, the "one trick Pony" .
As long as you get from A to C when you need to, don't worry about having to go through B.

A B C seems to be the natural order.
Even some geniuses need need the middle as well as the
end.
There are lots of clever people, really eager and waiting
to fill-up ur knowledge.Thats why you should trust a book
instead-you can close it and reread it when less suseptable.

I think that you still have to pass through B at some point, genius or not, they still have to go through B its the natural order.

This is a conundrum the Irish have solved simply by saying
"you can't get there from here!"
