I think it was inevitable simply because as soon as the spanish arrived to Cuzco, Peru, they already had the intention of taking over, they first executed the last incan emperal Altahualpa, they also had better weapons and so they won the fight. I think the spaniards considered the incas a lesser human race, so they were relentless in their warfare, Before Manco capac half brother of Altahualpa rebeled against the spaniards, Manco trained many incas to face the spaniards but the inca's weapons were slingshots and even when they picked up the spaniards firearms they didn't know how to use it. Soon after the spaniards aim became to overthrow and kill the last inca which brought them to machupicchu in where the last inca got executed not before making machupicchu a landmark for incan memory. As soon as the incas realized that their only hope was hiding out from the spaniards that was the moment when all hope was lost for the incas.

I believe that given the attitude of the Spanish towards the Aztecs and the Inca, they saw them as little more than human, their ambition to obtain treasure thence their use of the natives as beasts of burden, their weapons and the diseases they brought with them, which wiped out entire populations it was inevitable that they would be overwhelmed, which says a lot about how tough those people are because they were not totally wiped out from off the face of the earth.

Yes but so is the fall of every other empire after a few centuries. The Spartans fell to Greece, the Grecians fell to Rome and then Rome fell. Russia had a long history and recently splintered. Everything has a lifespan including empires.
