Eyes don’t change color because of moods. If you have hazel eyes, this is the most difficult to classify as they can be described as brown and sometimes green. Eyes may appear to change color depending on how they reflect different lighting sources. Remember, perception of color is dependent on conditions in which color is viewed (e.g., amount and type of illumination, color of surrounding environment, color of your clothes) and how the eye’s color is perceived.
Melanin, the thing responsible for the pigmentation of the eyes and skin, is mostly present in the colored portion of the eye (iris). Varying amounts of melanin produces the shade of the eyes. While babies change eye colors to determine their lifetime eye color at age one to six, adults retain basically the same amount of melanin mainly because of genetics. However, eye color can change due to:
1. Medication – taking in Xalatan, a medication for glaucoma, can cause the iris to darken; Paxil, an anti-depressant, can have a lightening effect.
2. Eye injury / disease – Aniridia, congenital condition of extremely underdeveloped iris; Ocular Albinism can cause the eye to look reddish (due to blodd vessels under the eyes) because of lack of pigment; Heterochromia where melanin is lacking or absent from one eye. This is inherited or acquired through injury.
3. Age – constant exposure to sun and iris atrophy

Depends on the blood supply to iris. My son has brown eyes, but when he is upset or angry, his eyes turn green. Is this similar to your situation?

the colour of your iris relies upon on the quantity of pigment recent on your eye. working example, eco-friendly eyes have lots of yellow and a few brown, making them look eco-friendly. Blue eyes have a sprint yellow and little to no brown, making them look blue. gray eyes look gray because of the fact they have a sprint yellow and no brown in them. Brown eyes look brown because of the fact lots of the attention contains the brown shade. Brown is the commonest, blue is 2d, and eco-friendly is rarest.
