I am already on my fast way to 80. (not really that old :o) At least to feeling like 80. I hurt all over all the time as if how I think I will feel when I become 80, as I have had Fibromyalgia for 15 years and am on 3 pain medications 3 times per day.
I am hoping and praying that when I do reach 80, my loved ones will come to visit me, instead of forgetting that I am around, maybe just sitting in a Nursing Home alone by myself.
I am hoping and praying that they remember the love and care that I have always given to them unconditionally and will return it to me in my golden years.
Unfortunately, I can't answer your last question, as I don't have a special someone whom I met when I was much younger as I am divorced and then widowed as my husband was killed in a car accident.
I found your question to be interesting and thoughtful. Thanks!

this is unquestionably unequivocally the suited i've got seen of your writings. that's extremely poignant to me because of the fact I worked interior the scientific field and develop into married for some years to an R.N. I definitely have the utmost appreciate for nurses because of the fact i be attentive to what a confusing job that's. once you get living house you experience drained... and to be around human beings that have elderly; and are at a loss for words and annoyed only with residing is heart breaking. Kudos to you not purely to your poem... yet for you being a nurse besides.

I'll be wrinkled and awnry. Things have changed by prices of things...and how theyve gone up. Things in the school system have changed. Clothing has gone back to what we wore when I was in school, thats cool!
I am as in love with my hubby now, even more, than when I first met him. Im just afraid of what my son will go thru in this life. The world is so full of hate, and I dont want him to see that part of ppl, but he will. Thats what bothers me.*

I'm not real old yet (57), but the older I get, the less 'stuff' means to me, and the more friends and family mean. I couldn't care less how big my TV is, but just that I have someone to watch tv with. And, I don't care what kind of car I drive, i just want to go for rides with my hubby, or grandkids or someone.
