Is being dorothy from the wizard of oz good or bad?

i have to be dorothy in my school....and i was just wondering if being dorothy is good or bad....

Playing Dorothy is so much fun! I think my favorite part is meeting kids afterwards to really believe you are the real thing. You'll pose like Mickey Mouse at Disney World!

Depending on the script you have, the role can be challenging. My school (in 2002) had a script that I called "The Wizard of Oz on crack" b/c Dorothy was all whiny and left in a rocket ship! It was a mix of the book, the movie, and an author who had to have been smoking something. I had to stick to the lines as the whiny Dorothy, but keep the Dorothy every one loves at the same time. The worst part of the show, though, is the munchkinland sequence. It is SO SO LONG! You can't sing along because they're singing to you. You just stand there and smile and look amazed for 10 minutes! LOL :-)

Dorothy is always considered good. We learn about personal growth from her. Watch a video of The Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland (Liza Minnelli's mother.) It's really the best version. You can learn a lot by watching it a few times. You are very lucky to be playing Dorothy. You could read the original book by Frank Oz.

My sister was dorothy once. She was good at it, but found it kind of a boring part. Being the Wicked Witch would have been more fun. Being dorothy isn't bad, though. Its kind of cool to be the main character.

I would think it was good. I mean you are the lead part in an amazing play. You must be a really good actor if you made that part because it takes a lot to be a lead role. i wish the best of luck to u as your role as Dorothy.

I'd say it's pretty good!!!!Congrats! but it may seem bad if you're the nervous type of person. If you are, remember that nerves are a good thing, and you'll forget all about them once you're actually on stage. Hope i helped and break a leg!!!!!

If you dont get killed then its good, but it really doesnt matter as long as your happy with the part your playing or who's ever playing.
