when I removed them from the pond they hopped away together..still with the one on back iron gripping the one underneath..both were very large toads...were they doing the dirty deed for 2 weeks?!

They were trying to break the Guiness record for longest continual copulation. The record is held by Artemus and Myrtle Dorclutter of Titmouse, Alabama, in 1974. They went at it for 27 consecutive days. They were not married. They were brother and sister. That sort of thing is accepted in areas of the country where George Bush is popular.

Probably off and on.
Toad eggs are fertilized externally and in the water; the male releases sperm over the eggs as they come out. You should be able to find some around the edges of the pond.

Toads are indestructible when it comes to mating. We are always having to pull them out of our pond because the tadpoles are like parasites to our fish.

Imagine if you were caught doing the wild thing, you would stop and pray to god that who ever caught you would go away. Now stop upsetting the balance of nature, lol.............

yah they are still mating and they will keep going so they should be taken apart
