A rebuilt supercharger installed for 630 bucks? Sounds like a good deal to me. that's not bad, considering.
1. You like the car, and other than the charger it is in good shape. Then get it repaired
2. Other stuff is wrong with it, and I'm tired of it. Try and sell it yourself, tell the new buyer the truth and let him know how much the repair cost will be. Then try and get a price that will be more than the trade-in value. Then take all that cash and buy another car you like.
3. Don't want to take the time to sell it myself. Then trade it in and take what they give you. Finance the balance and make the payments. good luck with the above.

Repairing or replacing the car depends, how many miles on your Grand Prix ? What year is it ? does it have any other problems such as leaking oil, major dents, tires and so on.
You are looking (at the moment) of putting out $650 for repairs on what seems to you to be a pretty good car. Car dealers will take into account the age of the car and the condition, my guess is that you will not get anywhere near what you think the car is worth.
Dealers will work with you if you have $1,000 down, a lot will depend on your credit score, the better your score the less cash you will need. If you are looking for a good used car
buy from a reputable dealer but my advice is this.
If your car seems to be pretty good repair it, you will still have $370 left over and if your credit score is good trading in after the repair would result in a higher trade in value.

This depends on the age of the car. If it's over ten years old and has a lot of miles; think hard about this. Really though, $630 isn't that bad for a car repair either. If this vehicle has much over 100,000 miles and you can afford a payment, get rid of it. You'll sink good money into something that's barely worth a grand or two at the most. Hope this helps.

I could reccomend a Honda Civic, the japanesse engines in those are past trustworthy, my dad and mom had one for ten years and travelled in way over two hundred,000 in it and not ever had a unmarried situation. Also anything vehicle you get ensure that substitute elements are without problems to be had at a minimum rate. Whe you've gotten made up our minds on a particular mannequin of auto ask round to look if any peers or household and question into what issues or terrible facets they must say approximately the auto.

If you like the car, get it repaired and keep it. Superchargers can break, just because it breaks doesn't mean everything else will.

The way I see it....repairing the car is still a lot cheaper than a car payment every month. If you can afford to repair, that's what I think you should do.

You need to know if you are just throwing money into a car that will slowly need more and more. But a new car is very expensive. $25,000 is about $400 a month for five years.
If you like the car, I would fix it!
