The most intelligent ones and animals that can be trained!
Such as:
- Elephants (Thai elephants can even paint!)
- Lions/tigers (professional assistance may be needed!)
- Seals/ Sea Lions (they're really great!)
- Dolphins (you can swim with them!)
- Dogs
- Monkeys
those are the most common here!

Only those that volunteer for a life of being in a small cage or chained for 23 hours each day, then let out for an hour for the amusement of a few hundred people, then put back in the cage. It is a cruel existence.
Circuses with animals don't do that well in civilised countries.
So, my answer is this - none.
The best attended circuses are those without animals, like Circe du Soleil etc.

Besides the basic elephant and lion, use animals that can constantly be controlled and adapt well to crowds and environments outside their original homelands. Stick to mammals. Bears and monkeys.
