Because the Yankee fans think the Yankees have all the best players and play best because of 26 WS. Those 26 WS are so yesterday.
The mets got 6 all-stars, 4 of them starters. Jeter lost the MVP race to Justin Morneau. Joe Mauer won the AL batting title. They got beaten by the Tigers in the ALDS 3-1. Rivera is now a choke artist.
The Yankee fans think they got every good player in pinstripes. Well their good times are OVER.
Good times................................. come to an end.

you don`t need to like them - pull for your team and stick with that team forever - lots of losers change favorites because they start losing - just watch and enjoy the games
i`m a huge yankee fan since about 1960 but i love baseball and have gone to toronto , cleveland , pittsburg , and baltimore for games. some yankees and some not.

Have to agree with jimmfo. Baseball isn't just about WS rings, and with the Yanks having so many, their bandwagon is HUGE. It's hard to tell when a Yank fan is a real baseball fan or just a Yankee fan because they think it's cool.

yankee fans that think that way are generally part of the "bandwagon gang". no self respecting long time yankee fan would ever make the kind of comments that you have seen made here.
the bandwagon gang seem to think that winning is a right and actually think themselves better people because of the yankees 26 championships....the vast majority of which were won long before these pathetic excuses for baseball fans were even born.
