Ash.
NEVER pine which is a very soft wood!! Anyone who has a fireplace and burns wood knows pine is NOT a hard wood. It would never be used for bats. Some may be thinking od pine tar which is a sticky substance used on bats to make them less apt to slip out of the batter's hand.
Chow!!

Their are 3 main woods used in wooded bats, but other are also used. They are maple, ash, and pine. Most players use maple because it is the hardest wood.

Louisville Sluggers used to be made totally out of ash. I guess they still make them that way. Pine is way too soft a wood to be used in a baseball bat.

In my section some 11-14 twelve months previous leagues use timber bats. i think of that steel ought to be as much as college. timber bats have exceptionally much the comparable risk subject concerns as steel. If this is going to become an rather super deal Easton and TPX will start to make greater solid bats.

There are a few diffent hardwoods that have been used but i think maple is the most popular. I don't think any bats are made from pine.
