I don't need height or width. Is Wal-Mart a good place to buy them?

the guitars length varies between manufacturers. any where from 5-7 inches in difference.
walmart would not be a good place to buy a guitar, you are probably looking at a guitar made by First Act, and they are not good quality. if in need of repair, most shops wont even touch it. try a fender model dg10 or a yamaha gig maker package.

Probably not. Get a good quality used one, or order a new one - Fender makes a decent one, if you are referring to electrics.
