I don't know if it's a self esteem issue or what but I star based on the value of the question and how much it applies to me personally or makes me think If they are asking questions that I feel are a waste of my time or are made up I will not star no matter if they beg cry or poop their pants I have only starred one question to date and it was an excellent question titled lottery which is posted now if you have time check it out it's a real doozy lol

Well what's the point in anything? The stars DO show on their profile. I mean honestly there's little sense in getting points and levels either, but people seem to want them all the same. It makes people feel good to think they've achieved something.
And if you've ever answered a question JUST for the two points, then you're in the same boat, really. None of it has any real meaning, but we like to see those little stars, points and levels!

I think it makes their question show up in the first page, and they probably want to be answered a lot. Like me, for instance. I never get more than 6 answers. Most of the time, only three. But I don't beg about it.

well maybe-- these people are the ones who dont receive much of the attention in real life. I mean they are not well complimented, nobody looks at them at a very special way..They arent blessed enough to have people around them to AFFIRM them and so they beg to be noticed by a complete stranger.
Hun? let me ask you why dont you beg for attention?, and Y dont you wanna ask us to put a star on you? simply because you dont need it coz you have alot of people to affirm you that youre good without you asking them to..you have what these people who beg DONT HAVE!~

I don't think you get points for stars, but your stars received show up on your profile. I don't like how people do that, either.

I'm thinking it might be a certain age group that begs for them ... I could very well be wrong but I suspect the younger ones.. Maybe i should do a little investigating before I say that.. Na, not that important...
