For AMD 2800+ means that the processor is equivalent to a 2,8GHz Intel. Therefore your processor is perfectly capable to run a game demanding 2GHz processors unless other requirements fail (ex: graphics).

YES you can!

1. NO COST SOLUTION- Overclock your processor since you've got a good overclocker. No sweat hitting 2 Ghz on a good motherboard. But this is not really for newbies.

2. MEDIUM COST SOLUTION - Get a good graphics card. Minimum could be a DX9 card w/ 8 pixel pipelines and ddr3 memory on board. You could get better cards but you may have to upgrade your power supply to cope up w/ the requirements of more powerful graphics card.

3. HIGH COST SOLUTION - Build a gaming rig using Intel Conroe or AMD64 X2 processor then put in a Nvidia 8800GTX monster card.

Is it the A8-5600K? because of the fact there is no way this is the FX-8150 because of the fact it would not have integrated portraits. you could play video games like Skyrim at low resolutions (1280x720, mayyyybe 1600x900) on medium settings. It does no longer be very stable for first man or woman shooters the place you truthfully want consistent quickly framerates. this is important to contemplate grabbing a Radeon HD 7770 or a GTX 650 Ti, they are around $one hundred twenty yet somewhat solid for that fee. that would desire to play Skyrim at 1080p on intense settings, Battlefield 3 at 1080p on medium-intense settings.
