I bought an item from ebay and paid for it instantly via bank deposit. The seller has an excellent record of sales so I am worried that it is a mistake by ebay not sending them emails...
The seller sent me a reminder for payment and I have tried to send several messages back with all of the transaction details. I have got no response. I have triple checked the account details - everything is correct so what could be wrong?
I dont want a strike against my name for doing the right thing.
Any ideas? Im sure the seller is honest and it could be a mistake by the banks but they wont contact me.

Thanks for your quick responses. I will wait until tomorrow then give ebay a call. It is possible to ring the seller (I used their address to look it up in the white pages) but that will be a last resort. Thanks

High rating mean nothing on ebay like they used to. I have had several 10k+ rated people close up shop right after i would buy pc parts from them and have to get ebay to get my money back.
As long as you have a record of you sending payment to them you are fine. I would say send like one more email wait like two or so days if you get no reply then i would contact ebay and tell them what is going on.

probably some hackers sent you an email as invoice pretending to be the seller from bay ,and you thought you were getting invoice from the right seller and paid for it. there are a lot of hackers on ebay pretending to be seller and send invoice right after you won the item or bid, so make sure you pay the right person. Anyway, I might be wrong. Just go on mybay and check who you paid to, and match it.
well good luck. Something like this happened to me on ebay.

Log into your eBay account then look up the seller for their phone number. This way you can contact the seller and speak to him or her and give the auction number you are calling about to tell the seller you paid for this item. I hope this helps you out.

if you are not getting replies from the seller i would contact ebay you can do it by going to messages and it says contact ebay and explain the situation to them they can advise you on the best thing to do. i have had similar problems but the seller in my case was trying to get additional final fee credit.
i have found that they are very helpful and ALWAYS keep emails you have sent to the seller and any other information so that you can prove it if the seller says you didnt.

It could very well be an oversight, however you should still get proof of the payment and e-mail him that proof. If he still refuses to send the item, go to PayPal or ebaY and file a complaint. There are some real creeps on ebaY. I should know I've been there for seven years.

ebay has a mechanism to find out the account details of the buyer and the seller. use it to find out their phone number. sometimes people go on vacation or they have pc problems and do not receive repeated emails.

Cancel the payment via your bank and try to send the payment again. All fradulent purchases under $50 are protected by federal law and you are not liable.

You can't get a strike if you know you paid. Try emailing the seller
