The thing that I hate about Jeter is people think he's so good at short stop when he has a below average arm. He's not even the best short stop on the team they should have moved Jeter to second thats about all his arm strength is now. There's also a lot better offsensive short stops but since he gets all the bought talent in A-Rod, Abreu, Giambi, Sheffield, etc...it makes him the best short stop don't think so.

Because he plays for the damn Yankees. Thats the main thing, but I don't like the fact he influenced A-rod's deciosion to be on the Yankees and he doesnt even have his back. The time Yankees fans hated A-rod, when he was the choke artist getting boo-ed. That probably made him play not up to his potential in October. Claiming they were like best friends and now it seems like they dont even talk. Jeter was pretty messed up. Now who is good???? Who would the Yankee fans rather have?? If Jeter sucks this year, it just goes to show what goes around comes around.

for sure no longer - gotta recognize the guy and what he has carried out. To be between the all-time greats on a crew with each and each of the heritage of the Yankees - how are you going to hate him. i grow to be uninterested in some Yankee followers treating him like some variety of deity, yet it truly is no longer Jeter's fault - it truly is those idiots who won't be able to settle for that he's human and heaven forbid, may genuinely strike out or make an occasional blunders.

I hate the yankees but I love derek he's a good guy now a-rod is a whole other story. Derek isn't that bad of a guy i don't hate his guts i just hate the team he plays for.

I dont really like baseball to watch anyway. I dont like derek jeters glitches he makes when at bat and stuff back when i watched it a little. I really dont like how he can get so popular when there are alot of people better

Ok one, you all are just jealous that jeter is a good looking guy and can get any girl he wants, including the guy who posted this questions fat girlfriend. Two he is a great baseball player. You can be jealous just dont hate. O btw wahats your favorite team and whatever it is i bet jeter is better than your shortsstop. And jeter is loved by all yankee fans which is like half of baseball
