Our son wasn't circumcised at birth because he was diagnosed (later incorrectly) as having hypospadius, in which the urethra isn't aligned with the tip as it should be. We were later told that he didn't have that~ he just has a slight cordea (slight curve at tip). He is 3 now and we have decided to not continue with the circ. He will be able to decide that on his own.
However, as i was reading about it, i read that when they circ, they cut out about 20,000 nerves, FEET of veins, and about a foot of total skin. Not to mention, that apparently the fully grown penis would be "compact" and not be able to grow to its full potential.
So, with that information- if my son wants to get himself circ later on, then that's his choice. But before this, i was pro-circ.
Also- we we first found out we couldn't get him circ'd, my husband asked me "would you have looked at me differently if i wasn't circ'd?" it was a big question for me...and the answer was "no", BTW..

i was circ'd as a baby and had no idea until i found out what it was. i do kinda wish i had the choice so i could see what its like to have foreskin but also am kinda glad because if i wasn't circ'd but later wanted to be it would be more risky for an older man than a baby. I think it is also more attractive being cut, but do wish i had a say in the matter. but you really don't need it, its not like they cut off your entire penis so I'm OK with it

I'm uncircumcised, and I'm glad that it's my choice. I've never had any problems with my foreskin. Honestly, the problems of the foreskin are blown way out of proportion as the majority of uncircumcised guys never experience any problems.
It's kind of like the silent majority - if there's nothing wrong, you don't need to speak up. But when the people who have problems with their foreskins do speak up, they're more vocal and make it seem like having a foreskin is horrible (which is like the opposite from the truth, in my opinion).
So, as long I continue to have no problems with my foreskin, it's going to stay that way. I'm happy and content, and have never wished I was circumcised.

I was circumcised at birth and absolutely hate it. I feel mutilated and hid the way I felt for many years. Eventually, after other stress in my life made it impossible to hold inside any longer, I had to have counseling and rapid eye movement therapy to help me deal with the deep-seated anger and hurt. I realised a little of what I had lost when I saw a mate masturbating when I was a kid. Nearly all cut males masturbate with what loose skin they have left (or they use lube) but an intact guy can stroke the entire length of his penis with the foreskin as it slides on itself, acting like lube. It also helps on entry and in other ways during intercourse. Circumcision removes over half the skin area of the penis, about 15 square inches, or 40 square centimetres, in an adult. Now every medical authority in the world admits that the risks outweigh the so-called benefits and every person, male or female, should have the right to whole genitals.

I was at birth, I even remember pulling the skin over the head wishing that it would stay that way and that it was originally made that way, not knowing that it really was made that way. I always wish I had a choice and was mad for many years, I'm not so mad now after learning more about it and deciding not be mad, I grew it back, it has pros and cons, I'm going to let my kids choose for themselves though. I did almost have to go to therapy, especially when I found out my sister was pregnant with a boy and I was afraid I would hate her if she has it done to her son who will be born next month. I met someone and he told me when he was younger he had it done, he was 19. He said he has never regretted it, I thought maybe it isn't so bad and I should have a better attitude about it. Him talking to me has been my therapy. Especially me being more open to it instead of way anti or way pro, more of in the middle now, except never to newborns. I feel sort of more at peace now.
I am not a liar, calm down, I meant when I was about 12 I pulled it down and had those feelings. And most people wouldn't believe me, especially the person below, but although it was soon after I was born, I do remember it. It is a very sick feeling memory but I faintly remember it. It was dark and I remember people doing something to me and putting me in a lot of pain. You can believe it or not but I do remember it.

I wasn't circed at birth. I'm not mad or unsatisfied in any way. I always have the choice to choose in my case; more parents seem to be leaving it alone as far as government statistics show (especially on the west coast).
I'm satisfied as I am, though, so I wouldn't get circumcised, especially after quite a few new studies on the negative effects of circumcision on sensitivity, sexual pleasure, and masturbation came out this year in the British Journal of Urology.

I was circ'd when I was still a baby and I'm very glad that my parents decided to do it. I just don't wanna experience the pain of circumcision... so i really do appreciate what my parents did.

Well, I was done at birth, and I guess its just one less body part I have to worry about stinking, women seem to prefer it, and it seems to match 99% of the other guys down at the YMCA. If I had had any say in the matter I would have told the doctor to leave at least a little skin on there. Its like I got this real radical absolutely no foreskin clip job, I wish he had left me about 25%.

I was, and I have absolutely no resentment whatsoever that I was as a baby. Why bother getting upset over something over which you did not or do not have any control. That is just wasted energy. Pointless.
