If more and more people seem to think that guns are the answer to their disputes...then why not at least have some rules?

However you must remember in a duel, the person challenged got to select the weapons. If it was a matter of honor, he would select swords/sabers and they would go for first blood. Honor would be satisfied, the loser would admit to error and it would all be over. If it was a matter of hate, he would select pistols. The problem with the pistols is they were not rifled, had poor sights, poor powder, and accuracy was therefore pretty bad. It is not common that a lethal shot would come from either gun, but one man would be severely wounded and be considered the loser. If he did die, it was probably from infection, not from the actual shot.
IF we did bring back dueling, we would have to make sure people used antique style guns. If they did it with modern handguns, they both would end up dead...

No, just put their Mothers in a room with each other. Whew! The winner would not only be the winner but, prolly get a good dinner too.

I think this world is too contemporary for something like that. Besides, there's enough violence in the world with gangs, war, mass shootings, and genocide. Stop thinking negative!
