how can i tell if my ps3 is foreign?

i bought a used playstation 3 and am having difficulty playing ps2 games and dvds.

i, nor the seller of the used ps3 knows whether this is a foreign ps3 model or not. is there some way i can check for sure?

are you telling me that this ps3 came humbly into your home, and offered to do the same job as the xbox, for less than minimum wage?

no but seriously, it doesn't matter if it's foreign, all ps3s will play the same exact way. you probably just need to upgrade your firmware

well, i guess there is no point if its from a different country since the ps3 is region free. meaning you can play foreign games. the reason why you're having trouble playing ps2 games is because , maybe, the firmware is not upgraded yet. if the menu is in English when you first got it, it is probably a US ps3. but i'm pretty sure its from US because if you remember a lot of ps3s being returned few months ago.

This is far from the best answer, but the only way I know of is if it doesn't play a region-locked game from the U.S.

British English, this is a 'foreign places accessory' to me, is the absolute coolest of something, different than in its maximum crude dialects (and that i could say a similar and worse bearing directly to the crude dialects of my very own American accessory). The French females are superb nevertheless, specific. yet in addition, i've got got here across the Dutch accessory to be particularly interesting. and that i ensue to love the German accessory myself.
