black nail polish is soo in right now and my mom thinks that its gothic and she doesnt want me to wear it. i need to prove to her that it isnt. please help

black nail polish is'nt just gothic... it was started as a punk trend just tell her it's no big deal and that it's does'nt mean anything! just tell her in the in thing to do! plus basically all rock stars wear it and alot of like hip hoppers wear it too! i've seen it!

Black nail polish is in now and depending on how you wear it depends on how you will be perceived. I agree with the one girl who says to mix it with feminine colors. I suggest that you get your nails done at the salon with black nail polish and have them do like designs so that it tones it down. You dont have to have your whole nail painted black. You could do a black french with lots of light desings with flowers, dots, an all that good stuff..Its really cute and it shows your Mom that your not Gothic but just want the look..

I can understand your mothers concern, but it's not gothic! It's really a color that the young girls are wearing these days. My daughter is 13 and wears it. I like when she wears the black tips. It looks pretty cool. Take it easy on your Mom, it's hard for us mothers to figure out what's ok and what's not. The Goth people don't have the market on black nail polish..it's for everyone!

Everyone is wearing black, look at a high fashion magazine and there are countless looks with black nail polish.
Just tell your mum that you want to expand the colors of your nail polish by adding every color, including black. [:

tell her that lots of people wear black nail polish, and its a neutral color, and say that when you wear it, you were experimentin with different colors and it came out black, then tell her that goths are wierd and reassure her that you are not going to be one of them

everytime i wear black polish i get comments like "are you emo?" psh. thats so gay. no, im not emo, nor am i gothic. black nail polish is simply a color on your nails. it means nothing.

Start with black with sparkles on top or andy color with a black french tip to show your mom that black isn't gothic. Then if she agrees, you can use black nailpolish as you please.

lots of people wear it that are not so-called "goth" (i hate these labels!!!), it`s just a color & doesn`t mean anything!!! u want to wear it because u like it, for heaven`s sake, that`s all!!! i`m well past 30, i am not "goth" & 9x out of 10 i have my nails painted back because i like the color!!!
