Here's the p[roblem: technically, it's not cheating.
DNA is cruel. The main purpose is to continue the species, so man is impelled to "scatter his seed" as far as he can.
A million years ago, it made sense; now, the purpose is not as great, but the need is still there.
This is NOT to say it is OK, nor is it an excuse to step out. I am just explaining the reason. It is up to the person to put it in perspective

it could be...this might sound surprising but females cheat a lot more than males do but males just get caught a lot more.
