Internet has thousands of websites with a lot of information on serial killers.
Here are a few websites, where you can get general information, but if you dig deeper, I'm sure you can find just about anything you need.
There is a good book that I've read recently The Serial Killer Files by Harold Schechter. You might want to get it out of the library and check it out.

Go to your local library and check out a few books. Believe it or not, there is actually a book called "The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers" by Michael Newton. Its a great book! I bought it a few years ago and read it from front to back. Its really intresting and has a lot of information. Another book that is a good read is "The Cases That Haunt Us" by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker. There is also a book by David Everitt called "Human Monsters". It contains a lot of info too.

This may seem really weird but... write them. There are at least a dozen in the prison system that are never getting out, they have plenty of time to answer any questions you may have. Tell them to write you their life stories.

Try reading books written by former FBI profilers. They are good reading. Also, watch cable programs about them, there are a lot of those which are of excellent quality.
