aside from being short, what do women think about this issue? Men love to see women wiggle their hips. would certain types of women find it degrading? i.e. career women, military women, etc..

I don't think it's degrading for women to wear high heel shoes. I love high heels, especially love wearing them too.

What do wiggling hips have to do with high heel shoes? And, why would you assume wearing heels is degrading to women? Hm, strange.
Hey, perhaps you might have some insight to this this question: Why are military servicemen required to wear dog tags? Is there an indirect suggestion here? Is it degrading to men, do you think?

I would be degrading only if someone forced me to wear them against my will, but so far all responses indicate a free choice of whether to wear them or not. There are certainly lots of other shoe choices available.
My problem with shoes is the shape of my foot... I have a wide (D) foot, and there simply aren't many attractive shoe choices available to me. Most of them look like they belong on 70 year old arthiritic women with walkers. So, for anyone seeking a career in design.... please come up with some pretty, affordable wide width shoes.

High heel shoes are not degrading to women and of you think so you should probably not wear them. Some of them are just... beautiful is all I can say. The way they hug your feet and lengthen your leg. I broke my foot and since cannot wear them anymore, but I miss them :' -( Ask Prince if he thinks they are degrading. lol I bet he loves his heels too.

High heals look great and are very sexy on the right person.
Unfortunately they are definately hard on the feet and can put a woman's back out of sinc if she wears them a lot.
Try a nice low healed sandal and you will get a similar effect without most of the pain.
Take it from the voice of experience.
Also, I heard that high heals were invented by the Marquis de Sade. He was famous for torture . I don't know how true that is.

Obviously, its not degrading...its the womans own choice. If a woman wears high heels to attract men certainly it could be degrading.

Wearing high heels is not degrading. But it is painful to your feet, and bad for your arches.
I wiggle my hips when I am wearing flat shoes.

I don't find them degrading but over the years of wearing them they do a number to your lower back. For health reasons I don't wear them as often. Guys have always told me that I look attractive with or without them!

Degrading in only that it attracts more attention. If the attention isn't desired, then a girl can wear flats or low heels.
