My daughter's bike was missing yesterday morning from the yard (Yes, she left it out AGAIN) and we found it today three miles down the road in a ditch and both tires were flat.. but they're not punctured because my husband aired them up and they're just fine.

Probably some young punks were bored and thought it'd be funny.
We just had a bike stolen off our balcony. Unlucky for us it was a $600 bike that we were only borrowing...so it sucks!
I hate people who just can't get over jealousy and have to steal.
Maybe now your daughter will always remember to put her bike away or lock it up outside.
I've had many bikes stolen when I was younger but my dad usually always found them down the railroad tracks by our house.
One time my brothers BMX bike was stolen off the front porch in the middle of the day, with the front door open and people standing in the same room....He only came in to grab a drink. so it was stolen in less than 10 minutes.
So crazy stalker thieves.
Another time some young punks were trying to steal my dads boat so he ran out in the middle of the night naked ready to kill. They saw a old naked man running and they dropped the boat (again on the railroad tracks) and ran.
I didn't live in a bad area....just a lot of bored stoner teens...

First guess, I'd say they stole it all right, but discovered it wasn't what they really wanted, and literally ditched it.
It is too bad we live in a society that other people's property is of so little value, but this is the way of the world, and I suppose we just have to get used to it.

That is sad. Probably some kids just making a joke, but demonstrates how little respect for others property exists today.

Just a joy ride fopr quick transportation, probably a middle school boy. She didn't loose it so next time maybe she will remember to put it away
