Well you didn't define what age equals later in life.... at first it might be childcare and stress.... then later it moves into menopause where hormones can it go skyrocketing.... or sink to the floor. Next day may not get as excited so they're not as comfortable with it.

But don't totally despair. Don't think scientists haven't been working on this one. While males have Viagra a new drug is already in the testing stage (phase 2). Unlike Viagra which has been tested on women but failed to have any real good results... this drug works on the desire. And actually works and men also but the company will strongly market to women. The trials of already shown that the drug produces a strong desire in women that they have lost before.

Interestingly enough the drug will be marketed as a nasal spray (it would break down too quickly in the stomach and cannot be absorbed that way). The drug was originally developed by the University of Arizona and then sold to pharmaceutical. The drug's name is called Bremolanotide. There've been a number of news articles on it. Women take a giant leap forward. The website below provides a lot of links to ABC and NBC news that have reported on this already.

because of the change going through out body everyone reacts differently the estrogen level gets out of whack and makes us feel like we have no desire to have sex even though we are still attraked to our partner we just need to be stimulatedin a new way to respond better. men have a hard time understanding this but they nees to sit down and read up on menopause to get a better insight.
