Beauty is a very subjective thing. And most people I know don't go around thinking 'Oh my God! I'm sooo hot!' People with a 'normal' amount of self-confidence just think 'Hey, I'm not the most beautiful, but I am OK.'
I think that vanity is just another form of low self-esteem.
I believe that having an interesting personality, an excellent sense of humour, intelligence, if you carry yourself with dignity and treat others graciously, amongst other qualities, is what gives people that spark that makes them turn heads.
Sure, certain physical attributes play a role but at the end of the day that's just packaging and that too will fade with time.
And honestly, I think the girls from the Dove commercials are beautiful - they look real and exude personality!

I dont think of myself as beautiful, I dont think about it though. I dont really judge myself all that much. It isn't up to me to decide whether I am beautiful or not. Beauty is nothing but an opinion, and it will change for every person. I think I am okay looking, nothing to good or to bad. If you want you can tell me... www.myspace.com\andysemailis.

Yes and No. I used to think I was a right minger, but over the last year by relaxing my hair, doing my eyebrows and experimenting with clothes, putting on heels (i was a trainer girl through and through) I think I look a lot better. There still are some days when Im like 'EWWWWW' but I think Im prettier than I was. But Im still single so I cant be that great.

I'm not sure about beautiful, at least not all the time. But I guess I would say I'm fairly pretty, because all my friends say I should be and could be a model. So, I guess I'm beautiful, inside and out.

When I was a teenager I remember waiting to wake up beautiful. Now I know it won't happen, which is freeing, but dissapointing too. The thing is, I was never down on my looks until other people commented on them. I know I shouldn't let other people's opinions get to me, but it's difficult. I try to shine in other areas of my life (academically, career wise) instead.

When I was younger in my late teens and early 20s I was beautiful, but now as I hit my 30s. I don't think so. I dont generate the same amount of attention I used to get 10 years ago.

I used to be... very beautiful.
Now Im getting old and the a*ss has a mind of it's own...
But if you look at me in the right light, I suppose I could still somewhat pull it off depending on who is looking and how much make-up I had on? *smiles...
LOL... I had more than my time to revel in my beauty and spent it rather self indulgent and spoiled as a result so...
No worries...
