The Departed was vintage Scorcese. Great movie.
Brick was so under the radar that there should be a slang term named after it. It was so ambitious, clever and original. If you haven't checked it out, please do so. Most of the characters are high school students, but the plot and atmosphere are classic film noir (even the notable dialogue).
I haven't seen Babel, or the Good German yet, so I'm kind of biased to the above two.
