I though only a married person could commit adultery ?
What does Jesus mean when he says "to lust"

Because when the Bible was written or happened, there was no such thing as marriage. Adultery in the Bible is described as looking at another woman with sinful thoughts or lust. Modern laws redefined adultery as a sinful sexual action between two persons from a different marriage

A single person can be an adulterer when that person is having a relationship with a married person. If they're causing a married person to cheat on their spouse, then it is adultery.

Biblically, adultery is any sex outside of marriage.
Lust in this context, is looking at a woman and thinking about having sex with her.

Lusting is when you look at a guy or gal and wish you could have sex with them...
lusting is also a sin

maybe she wasn't married...maybe she had sex with married men
lust:intense or unbridled sexual desire...lasciviousness
